The World Needs More Wine Hashtags

FIRST THING IS FIRST. I hit 1,000 followers on the gram so Elle Talk + I are celebrating with a giveaway on said gram. Then we got to talking about how there isn't a list of boozy hashtags. Now, two of my favorite parts about hashtags are that they help you group your pictures together and they bring people of like activities together. SO here I am, with some of my favorite boozy hashtags.

I just discovered this one yesterday -- #yeswayrose HOW DID I NOT THINK OF THAT? (side note, I have that thought a lot. beer koozies, insulated stemless wine glasses with lids, the likes..)

I honestly started this as a post for boozy hashtags, but I've decided to focus on wine this time. Halfway through... Because you know what that's how blogging works. I've decided that there should be more than one so we can focus on the best kinds of booze and you guys can help me find more! Since we're focused on wine, I also love #winenot

Last but certainly not least, #lemmewineaboutit -- I'm not sure I want to share, because it's currently exclusively my wine photos. I guess y'all could all join in.

Also, I really wanted to embed the hashtag feeds, why isn't that a thing Instagram? I mean, not that my wine gifs aren't fun, but come on man. ANYWAYS. don't forget to head over to the gram + help me celebrate 1K! Do you have any boozy hashtags I should be using? I was a little disappointed to find there aren't that many yet, maybe we're just in time to start our own! Are you going to join me with #lemmewineaboutit ??

October AND November Through the Lens!

I just realized I forgot to do the easiest post I do every month - through the lens! So obviously I combined October + November for today! Here are some of my favorite 'grams from the past two months!
What have you been up to? Are we insta friends? If not let me know + I'll follow youuu!! I love the gram maaan.

Better Late Than Never

I meant to be here early for #hashtaghumpday + weekly confessions + really anything this week. I honestly did. I don't even have a good REASON guys. I need a kick in the booty to get it together. So here's a late night Wednesday post brought to you by the Cubs Mets game.

#Hashtaghumpday @ Life with LoloAlanna & Company
I confess that I made breakfast for dinner tonight + didn't take a single picture of it. WE ATE ALL OF IT because it was so tasty. #picsoritdidnthappen #eatfast

We finally had to turn the heat on, because it was BAD guys. You know. Cause I'm always cold. I TRIED TO ORDER A NEW DOWN COMFORTER (because apparently 8 years was the lifetime of mine) AND THERE ARE WAY TOO MANY OPTIONS #Ineedanadult #threadcount #downalternative #SOMANYCHOICES
I might have confessed this before, but I turned off the e-mail notifications on my phone so I'm scared to login to gmail because I have like 78 unread messages. #makeitstop #whatevenareemails #typea #orwhatever
me irl
I haven't instagrammed in THREE DAYS. I promise I'm alive. I just. I don't do anything worth instagramming is the real issue. I wish I was doing interesting things. I'M GOING ON AN ADVENTURE THIS WEEKEND THOUGH. #instagramALLTHETHINGS!
when this boy meeeeets world
Anyone who doesn't think that having to wash your hair isn't a good reason to not do something is obviously a man. I have to plan when I'm going to wash my hair + it usually revolves around not having to dry it or style it or anything #longhairproblems #itsaprocess #aLENGTHYprocess
confession: I'm jealous of Merida's hair.
On that note, I have to go wash my hair. HAPPY Wednesday night everyone! We made it. Two more days until the weekend. What's up with y'all?

Hashtag All The Things!

Heyooooooo. Guess what DAY it IS! (will that commercial EVER get old?) Let's get down tooooo it. (sorry, I sang that, a la Hit Me With Your Best Shot. not sorry for all the side italics..) Obviously it's time for Hashtag Humpday AND I LEARNED LAST WEEK we can link up with Alanna for confessions! HASTAG TWO BIRDS.
#Hashtaghumpday @ Life with Lolo
This post almost didn't happen because I was doing my normal instagram "stalking" -- you know where I like every picture I see (and end up with a million inbox messages about "IT WORKS!" wraps!) SPEAKING OF INSTAGRAM Cassie + Amber are teaming up for another round of #morethanaframe + I am SUPER excited! you should totally join too!! #youknowyouwanna
I TOTALLY FORGOT to talk about the UGA Alabama game aside from how they break my heart all the time. SO we took a party bus from Atlanta to Ath. Allegedly there were drink specials at the bar that we met at. You know, at 11 am. OBVIOUSLY we tried to order mimosas, but they didn't. have. any. champagne. Obviously my second choice was tequila and orange juice (a drink to this day I can't convince a bartender to call the Kasey...) AND THE BARTENDER JUDGED US. #excuseme #YOUdidnthavechampagne #wewouldhavedonemimosas #rude

I don't have a Halloween costume. I don't even know who/what to be for Halloween. This is the first year my Halloween plans haven't been based around the Georgia Florida game (every time I go to Jax they lose. so obviously I'm not going to be the one to blame this year.) BUT NOW I NEED A HALLOWEEN COSTUME. #SOS #Ihavenoidea #creativityblock
duh
So, that's all I got! Have you entered the giveaway from Monday yet?! (I definitely tried to spell that "intered" so it's definitely time for me to call it a night.) What do you have to confess? Do you have a Halloween costume suggestion? Are you pumped for #morethanaframe?!

September Through The Lens

I would say I'm trying to instagram every day in October, but I already missed Saturday + Monday. sooooooooooooo here's what happened according to my instagram feed in September!
I didn't even realize just how much I did in September until I put this together. There was a wedding! Then beerfest + DINNER IN A TRAIN CAR + a disappointing meal at Twin Peaks (not those pretzels though, oh man those pretzels were delish) and family pictures! September was a busy one! Also forever long. I'm really glad it's over, honestly. PLUS ALL THE FALL SHOWS ARE BACK. Even if it has been raising for the past ever. I don't know if I would recognize the sun if it came out tomorrow, honestly. Anywhooodles what did y'all get into in September?

August Through The Lens

August might have been a slow blog month over here, but it wasn't that slow of an instagram month! I mean, it is already halfway through the month, so I suppose it's time we catch up!
All sorts of adventures, climbing mountains, getting into a Little Trouble, post game concerts, puppy walks, saving the rivers, and tiny libraries!
What did you get into in August? Did you do #EverythingAugust? I triiiiiiied to keep up!

July Through The Lens

I refuse REFUSE to accept that it's August. I just flat refuse. WHERE did my summer go? I haven't gone down the river yet! I did paddle board up it though! If you're ever up in Rome (Georgia..) you have to check out River Dog Paddle Co. First of all, there are puppies in the store. Second of all there is beer. Third of all, they're the best people. Also the guides on the river know what's happening. I had so much fun. AND I DIDN'T FALL OFF. All of those barre classes are apparently improving my balance maan. ANYWAYS. let's see what happened in July through my insta feed + iPhone camera roll....
Celebrating Josh being home on leave // soggy Peachtree finisher photo shoot, pre-paddle boarding selfies // baseball games // sunsets // my very fist ever King of Pops // a throwback to my first Jeep!
FALL OUT BOY because I'm secretly never growing up // Varuni Napoli on Monroe HAS PROSECCO ON TAP // one of my many wine grams. #lemmewineaboutit // cotton candy skies <3 // Bear walks // I DIED. I love bar chalkboard signs maaan // PADDLE BOARDING WITHOUT FALLING IN THE WATER! // national tequila day - duh // MY LITTLE BROTHER IS 14. I felt so old.

I guess after all of that I can kind of believe it's August. BUT STILL GUYs. I cannot believe it. What did your July look like????? Are we instagram friends?!

June - Through The Lens

HOLY CANNOLI. Can you guys believe it's already July? Like, weren't we complaining about the cold yesterday? Oh, wait. We were. I was definitely complaining about the cold on THE FOURTH OF JULY. We ran the Peachtree in the POURING RAIN and it was 65 degrees. So if I have pneumonia later, everyone knows why. So, since I've been a little MIA lately, here's what June looked like through my instagram filters!
It was lots of reading in the sunshine, beers not being donuts! a couple of Braves games, lots of sunsets that look like paintings, and a post Jurassic Park family photo!
What kind of fun did you have in June? Are you doing Helene's #31PhotosInbetween for July?! I'm having fun with it already!!

May Through The Lens

In a world of perfectly staged instagram photos with pristine white backgrounds + thousands of dollars worth of desk accessories, one girl fights to keep the fun in the world, choosing almost exclusively the most ridiculous photos from the set. This is her story....

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!!

Straight Floatin' On A Boat On the Deep Blue Sea

Okay. For someone who gets super motion sick, I really love boats y'all. When we were down in Naples (Florida, not Italy sadly...) we went out on the Sweet Liberty Boat tour with some super knowledgeable folks. We learned things like bobcats can swim and there are like twenty zillion types of palm trees. I also took an unreasonable amount of pictures. So prepaaaaare for a photo dump.
I developed a little bit of an obsession with the sea foam. Like I took that picture above probably 65 times. (also, my photography strategy is "take a million pictures, odds are one will be decent) So on this boat tour we rode around on a catamaran for about an hour, even doing only sails when we got out into the ocean! It was too cool y'all. Then we stopped at this place called Keewaydin Island. There will probably be a second Keewaydin Island post. Here are some of my favorites though!
The sky was so so crystal clear and bright blue that day that I could not get enough of it. I wanted to make sure that all of my pictures featured the sky somehow. I mean, how could you not?
This dude wasn't even a little bit afraid of me. I was probably two feet away from him when he decided he wanted to fly off. So obviously we're friends, I named him Stan.
That's our boat! We had a fearless captain + crew. No one thought my Gilligan's Island jokes were funny. IT WAS A THREE HOUR CRUISE. THAT'S WHAT GILLIGAN THOUGHT! There were no issues, I didn't have to make a coconut phone, so I was kinda bummed about that one.
Okay, so I wanted to end with this one. But then I forgot about my awesome Instagram from the boat. I can't skip this. OBVIOUSLY I had to pretend to be like Jack. KING OF THE WOOOORLD! Please disregard the fact that I could be related to a tomato. I swear I had on sunscreen. Lots of it. I ALWAYS do. Apparently we're closer to the sun down there....

April: Through The Lens

HELLO HOW ON EARTH IS IT MAY ON FRIDAY? I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm beyond ready for summer, and SUPER pumped to move to the Virginia Highlands at the end of May, but wasn't I just in Europe or counting down to baseball season? Has it REALLY been a whole month since I finished 30 Days at the Barre? Okay. Well how about we see what happened according to my camera + instagram?
1 - 3: First of all, I 'grammed more food that normal because of Helene's #30PhotosInbetween. I'm pretty proud of that queso one, because I captioned it "in queso emergency" guys I am the funniest.
4: HAD to catch a River Dogs game while I was in Charleston, I really think you should check out your local MiLB team tooo.
5: Embracing my inner flower child
6 + 7: I really like to force my love on my little brothers...
9: mom + I went to the Zoo + I THINK I AM GOING TO GET TO MEET AN ELEPHANT GUYS.
10:  A professional photographer took this super adorable picture of me + put it on the internet.
11: a super soggy Braves home opener!

What did you get up to in April?

A Little Monday Motivation

OH HEY MONDAY. Sometimes, sometimes y'all I feel bad for Monday. Why does Monday catch such a bad rap? (wrap? huh. they both look right....) I am probably the most productive on Monday mornings, to be honest. I think it's because everyone is so down on Monday that we already set the bar for being a person pretty low, which makes it pretty easy to knock it out of the park. Right? Anyways, in case SOMEBODY has a case of the Mondays, I have some motivational stuff for you!

Let's get this started off with a little humblebrag huh? Helene picked one of MY PICTURES for her Instagram highlight Saturday. I did a little bit of a celebratory dance, so come at me. Its the little things in life you guys.

UP NEXT. I learned the best trick in the entire world. I am not taking any credit for this. I just can't remember what blog I read it on at the moment. BUT THERE IS A "RECIPE" FOR MAKING INSTAGRAM PICTURES SHOW UP AS NATIVE PICTURES IN THE TWITTER. I swore I pinned the article after I did the signing up + such. ANYWAYS. You just create an account at If This, Then That + use THIS RECIPE. THEN when you Instagram a picture, you don't send it to twitter, the app automatically does it for you. HOW. COOL. IS. THAT? See below:
HOW COOL IS THAT!? Okay. Now, while I'm in mostly all caps, LET ME REMIND YOU ABOUT THURSDAY'S BIG ANNOUNCEMENT -- this coming Thursday is the first of our 7th Inning Stretch Linkup + we can't wait to see everyone!! What is getting you pumped this manic Monday?

Bloom

Okay. I thought that I broke blogger for a solid 24 hours. That was pretty terrifying. I apparently didn't, but you have to let me know if tomorrow's post looks weird or comes out in all HTML or whatever. ANYWAYS. I'm baaaaaaaaaaaack for Write or Die Wednesday!

Guys. I don't know if you have noticed or not, but I have a thing for flowers. I love them. I need fresh flowers in my house. All. The. Time. Did you know today's pollen count is 2,256? Yesterday, when I was driving to the gym, the air was yellow. There was so much pollen that THE AIR WAS TOO SATURATED WITH POLLEN TO BE CLEAR. It's okay. BECAUSE FLOWERS.

If you don't already accept the obsession, let's take a quick instagram check.

flowers in my hair? check.

wine, cheese, strawberries, flowers. check.

I even have pens at my desk that are wrapped in florists tape with big fake flowers at the top. I might have a problem. But. But. But. They're just so pretty. I think they make the world so happy. What do you think?

March: Through The Lens

Hey HEY hey guys. If April showers bring May flowers, then what do Mayflowers bring????

PILGRIMS! oh man. you're welcome for that one. I'm hiiiiilarious. Yesterday I was really proud of "what's the difference between a fish + a piano?"
ba dum tisssss
ANYWAYS. bad jokes aside, March was fun. I'm doing a happy dance for April + keeping this short because who has two thumbs + gets to go to the zoo today?! THIS GIRL!
  1. WE SAW DAMIEN RICE LAST NIGHT. high school Kasey is still flipping out about it.
  2. I FINISHED 30 Days at The Barre
  3. Instagrams of flowers for daaaaaaayyys
  4. Obviously a date with my main man, Jose. (actually, don't tell him. they use a different tequila in mambo taxis.....)
  5. taking Kasey At The Bat literally playing on a super fun coed softball team (even if we're not so good at winning)
  6. Adulting really well by jumping in puddles.
  7. it's officially wedding season guys.
All That's Glittered
OBVIously the great phone debacle of 2015 caused me to be a little short on pictures this month. Don't worry, I instagrammed three times yesterday to make up for it. PLUS I'm doing Helene's Insta challenge now! Are you?

OH. you can tune a piano but you can't tuna fish!!! you're welcome again.

Reflections On 30 Days At The Barre

Oh hellloooooooooo there blogland. GUESS what I found out last night? I officially won the Peachtree Road Race lottery. hollaaaa! So on July 4th this girl will be struggling through that July Georgia heat + hopefully not being handed a shot of vodka thinking it's water like last year (I almost died y'all. but at least I looked cute) So I figured now was as good a time as any to reflect on my whole "30 Days At The Barre" adventure.
WHY YES THOSE ARE TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES.
Since I already told you what I learned in the first 15 days I'm sure I might repeat some things. You know what 30 days in a row at the gym taught me? I'm stronger than I think, all gym clothes can go in the same load of laundry, off days hurt more than you think they will, you might forget how to get home without going to the gym first, and it's a lot easier to power through those last 10 seconds of crunches by imagining how great you're going to look in a bikini.

Guys. I'm 400% addicted to this. I literally go to the gym 5 days a week. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday. THAT SATURDAY CLASS IS AT 8 AM  + it just might be my favorite one. I was out of town last weekend + I still woke up in time to go to that class. Have we ever covered how I am the polar opposite of a morning person? I need coffee to make coffee. (funny story. today I went to this place called Cool Beans in Marietta + definitely struggled with the self serve for a good five minutes before admitting defeat only to find out I had just used the very last of the coffee. I wanted to bless my own heart. BUT IF YOU'RE IN MAY-RETTA you gotta go to Cool Beans + maybe bring me some coffee while you're at it

Anyways. I'm hooked. I didn't take a before picture because I'm a really bad blogger + fitness fanatic + stuff. I took one midway through but I haven't taken an "after" yet. So we'll see if that ever happens or if I just realize I can post bikini pictures on instagram because I earned it. OH ALSO SPEAKING OF INSTAGRAM. If you hashtag "gun show" people think you're serious + you will be followed by a bunch of weight lifting enthusiasts on insta AND tweeter. I definitely got a good laugh out of that one. Anyone want to come to the gym with me?

February: Through The Lens

HOLY COW. It's March. I hope this means more spring weather and less snow. Let's count that last week of February as March "coming in like a lion" okay? Okay. Awesome. Let's see what happened in February according to my camera!
1. obsessing over having fresh flowers in the apartment at all times + admiring the lovely roses from my sweet friend Jen.
2. obviously I only workout so that I can eat all the Varsity.
3, 4, 7, AND 9. Apparently I've turned into that person who instagrams from the gym all the time. Livin' that sweaty life y'all.
5. ladies night out including wine + fabr'ik shopping adventures with Jennifer!!
6. Valentines day the right way. obviously.
8. Oyster Fest at Park Tavern!

There are so many things on my March calendar that I might have to do two collages for next month's linkup! What did you do in February?

Creative Post Title Here

I have "Monday morning oh crap I forgot to schedule a Monday blog post" writers block. So because I feel like it's way too soon to do another "currently" post, we're going to do 5 Pins, 4 instagrams, 3 tweets, + 2 jams, + 1 ridiculous Valentine to make ya giggle. GO.

OKAY BUT THE ACOUSTIC VERSION OF LATCH. I cannot get enough. I first heard it at the gym when we were doing wooosaah stretches to cool down. I. LOVE. it.
I also cannot get enough of Lennon + Maisy. I mean, they're the cutest thing I've ever seen really.

THERE we go. Happy Monday y'all. Tonight I'm starting a mission to go to the barre 30 days in a row. We'll see if I have legs after it's all said + done. What are y'all up to this week?

My Birthday Month Through The Lens

Okay. Groundhog day is super weird y'all. BUT my biggest issue is that Punxsutawney Phil says more winter, but General Beauregard Lee says spring. So how does that work? Like half + half? Anyways. Now that my birthday month is over, I'm ready for it to be summer because I got my new swimsuits on Saturday. You know, I have an actual dresser drawer for swimsuits. Not just like, the tiny underwear/sock drawer. An entire drawer. I might have a problem. OKAY. Let's take a look back at all of the pictures I took in January!
I still can't believe that for the first week of 2015 I was in EUROPE still. Can I go back already? I haven't even shared my London pictures yet -- so those bottom three are official sneak peeks of London.. You can see all of my Paris pictures here + here
I also turned old + learned some things. I really should have added that 26 isn't going to be the year I grow out of sticking my tongue out in pictures either...... In case you were wondering, there's not going to be a recap of my birthday celebrations because I acted like a total brat + terrorized the locals. Totally growing up, right? ANYWAYS. That's what happened according to my camera in January. What did you do this month?
All That's Glittered

2014 Through The Lens

GUYS. I'm just not ready to delve into editing all of my Europe pictures. Honestly. I'm suffering from some post-vacation depression. I wanted to stay in London -- like forever... So let's see what the highlights of 2014 were, according to my instagram feed!
2014 through the lens
row one :: kicking assphault in the Peachtree Road Race ;; Oktoberfest in Helen ;; LEAVING AMERICA FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER
row two :: acting like freshmen again for recruitment ;; LAURA GOT ENGAGED ;; all of the football games
row three :: Lebeaufest 14 ;; FIREWORKS IN AMSTERDAM ;; ATL Blogger Holiday Meetup !!

All That's Glittered
Obviously, these were my favorites. I can't believe that it's already halfway through January. GUYS. IT'S ALMOST MY BIRTHDAY. I better get to work on the "26 things I learned by 26" **spoiler alert** [oh, spoiler alert is supposed to come before the spoiler, isn't it? oops] Anyways, I know it's a week or two late in blogland, but I'm really excited to see what 2015 has in store for me. What were your favorite instagrams of 2014?

On Instagram Straight Flexin'

I bet you're doing a double take, but she only said she was going to blog every weekday in October!, I did say that, but today's prompt for #Blogtober14 was "favorite picture posted to Instagram" and lets be for real, when have I ever missed a chance to shamelessly plug my Instagram? So while I'm off galavanting at Oktoberfest in Helen, you can check out some of my favorite Instagrams, sorry I can't pick just one..
Helene in Between Blogtober

first of all -- anything Athens related // Athens has my heart. It's my real hometown. It's a place where all of my friends and some of my best memories are. It's a place where we make more memories all the time. You may leave it, but it never leaves you.
two words: throwback. thursday. // or is throw back two words? my entire life has been an awkward stage, and I genuinely love reliving it. Generally with captions like "fashionista" or "yes, I have always been this adorable"

wine // I somehow have my very own hashtag for wine pictures. [check it -- #lemmewineaboutit]. I don't know what it is about wine bottles/glasses/cheese that makes them so fun to take pictures of, but I'm pretty proud of them. Especially the ones where the wine company comments on them. I'm so cool..
That's about it, what are your favorite Instagram pictures? I'll leave you with the last time I saw Santa!!
