And Now For Something Completely Different

I'm about to give you five completely unrelated updates about the world. Are you ready? READY? Okay. Here we go.
A photo posted by Kasey Decker (@kdsmoove) on

one // I don't subscribe to the "quantity over quality" school of thought in anything, especially something that is my brand. so if I ever miss a day, it's because I genuinely couldn't put together a quality post and I don't want to waste anyone's time (mine included) that being said -- I'm not sorry. So. there.

two // Sunday is the Q&A call for our #AllStarSlimdown !! So if you're thinking about it, if you've ever though about the 24 Day Challenge or anything AdvoCare related -- you should totes mcgotes join us!
three // I have a super fun, fancy pants wedding to go to this weekend. SO I did Rent the Runway (if you click that + haven't used RTR, we both get $20!) + I ordered this show stopper that runs way. too. small. I almost cried. I put it on in the bigger size than I usually wear + it wouldn't fit. like. a half size bigger would have been perfect. but oddly enough it didn't come in anything larger than a 6L. SO I called, their customer service kicks. ass. they over-nighted me a new dress + it. is. perfect. I can't wait to share pictures!

four // Jude is all better! Thanks for all the concerns. Apparently it was leaking coolant. We don't know where from, but they put a new cap on the "reservoir" + put in new coolant for me. The AC is colder now. so that's cool!  (heh heh heh...)

five // SHORT WEEKS ARE ALWAYS LONGER THAN NORMAL WEEKS. Have you noticed that? Anyways, here are five of my favorite posts from this week!! Kati with some instagrams that make me think maybe Minnesota isn't part of the North Pole ;; this sauce that Melissa has, I don't know what it goes on -- but it made my mouth water ;; Jen's TUNESDAY playlist ;; I love a good "currently" post -- PLUS Lindsay's has a giveaway with it! ;; and you know I'm constantly putting on car concerts -- so check out what Anita's car concert jams are!

Ta-da! That was fun! I promise once I get my dumb apartment out of boxes, I'll be more present. Something about all of your stuff being everywhere makes life more difficult than it should be. I'm linking up with Meagan for blogger love!! What are you up to this weekend?! Anything exciting?

Hashtag Winesday

GUYS. It's a short week + it's be a hell of a short week. By that, I mean Tuesday was like all the bad Monday things slammed in to a day that should have been not so bad. (although if you ask Jen, Tuesday is bluesday...) ON THE PLUS SIDE. I get to #HashtagHumpday confess with the best of the best today! PLUS gifs always make the day better. SO. Join me + Laura + Lauren + let's hashtag this Schmidt!

Hashtag Humpday

IF you don't follow me on the twitter (which, why not? I'm hilarious.) or snapchat (it's kdsmoove there too, but I don't get snapchat really. I try, but I haven't figured it out yet.) then you might not know about the adventure my Tuesday was. First, I was super excited that it was thunderstorming -- because I love the rain. #raindance #puddlejumping #songsaboutrain
source
My workday resembled the day after you take some vacation time (seriously, does anyone ever come back from taking a day off + have  like, three seconds to deal with anything?) but that wasn't a surprise. I was heading to the new apartment to do some more unpacking, but rain + Atlanta drivers is never good. Forget that it rains ALL. THE. TIME. So, fifteen minutes into my drive, my car overheats. OBVIOUSLY nowhere close to anything. I pull over in the parking lot of a place that makes rocking chairs + headstones (logical combination) hoping the engine will cool off enough to where I can get home. #nosuccess #saddayforJude
source
So, first I try to fix it. Guys. It was adorable. Here I am, dressed all cute, trying to hold an umbrella and my hood open (because obviously the hydraulics in the hood are broken too.) in the pouring. rain. A few nice people at the gas station try to help, I read the manual, follow the instructions, and probably hurt my car a little more. (I'm really sorry Jude, I do love you.) I finally accept defeat (after the car does all of the things in the "CAUTION: if this happens, call for service" warning.) + use my AAA membership. Then I sit in my car + read a book until the nice tow truck men arrive. #booksfordays #alwaysprepared #likeaboyscout #butmoreadorable
really I'm just Rory
Then, I realize I'm not in a Criminal Minds episode, the tow truck men didn't murder me (aren't you relieved?!) But one of the sweet tow truck men did talk. the. entire. way. we're talking, twenty solid minutes. I was a little worried, he didn't take time to breathe. #slowdownkiller
source
So. The nice men drop me off at the car place, which is obviously closed, it's still raining, and I get out of the tow truck in my soaking wet skirt, top covered in engine grease, and I cannot for the life of me figure out why my shoe is dragging. OF COURSE I have broken my favorite flat sandals. OF COURSE. so here I am. hobbling around the car repair lot, and honestly I can't help but laugh. #itsnotevenmonday #itswinetime #youcantmakethisup
what shoes?!
So, my dad picks me up with wine, because tequila does't travel as well. Plus, supposedly you shouldn't drink tequila on a Tuesday. #ibegtodiffer HOWEVER poor little Jude (we've talked about my Beatles obsession, don't act surprised that all my cars have been named after Beatles songs.) is hanging out all byyyyy himself at the car fixing place. #heyjudeheyjudeHEYJUDEAYJUDEHEYJUDEHEY (oh what, like you don't sing to your car?)
naaaa na na nananana naaaaaaa hey jude
So. Now I really want to go watch Across the Universe. But, you know, I can't because all of my favorite movies have been moved into my new apartment. I know this because I unpacked that box. Sounds about right. HOW is your short week going? Woaaaaaaah we're halfway there! #winesday #humpDAY Are you linking up your confessions or WHAT dude?

More On That All Star Slimdown.....

Okay, so, I have a tendency to get really excited about things. I'm always so loud passionate about that excitement that I usually can wrap everyone else involved up in it. Sometimes when I get really excited about things, I don't always realize that not everyone is going to be that excited + able to make those decisions as fast as I did. THE MORAL OF THIS STORY is that Jen + I realized we didn't give everyone enough time to make up their minds about the #AllStarSlimdown we announced last week. So I have some updated, more realistic dates that way everyone who is thinking about it can totally join in on all the fun!
all-star-slim-down
We're pushing the start date back a week, so instead of June 1st, it will be the 8th, which means you have all this week to decide! Even though that's easy enough to remember, I'm pretty obsessed with this font I recently downloaded (it's KG Let Her Go in case you're in love with it too... really I love all of the Kimberly Gershwin fonts...) so I updated the little graphic handy dandy date thing. You're welcome. All of the other information can be found here!

Please feel free to email me, shoot me a facebook message, send a carrier pigeon, etc. with any questions you may have! If you're all ready to join us, you can build your bundle here! You can also click there if you just want to replenish your Spark supply. I recently tried the orange flavor and it makes my inner twelve year old self so happy because it tastes just. like. Tang. Remember Tang? Orange juice of the astronauts! What kind of trouble did y'all get into this weekend? DON'T FORGET! I'm cohosting #HashtagHumpday again tomorrow -- I wanna hear your #confessions!!

Announcing the All Star Slimdown!

SO thanks to what has actually been three years in the making, I finally became an independent AdvoCare Distributor, you know thanks to Jen + in an effort to finance wedding season.......  Also, because it's getting hot outside, I really am not a fan of iced coffee (please don't kick me out of the blogger club....), but I need the energy help to get my rear end in gear. sooooo in the summer time I like to swap my coffee out for Spark!

Without any more ado -- I'm pretty pumped to announce that I'm teaming up with Jen to host my first ever 24 Day Challenge

Who: Co-sponsored by Kasey and Jen and all of your best bloggy friends will be there, too!

What: The 24 Day Challenge is a comprehensive supplementation, nutrition, and coaching program. It's designed to give your body the jump start it needs to reach your goals, as well as the community and support you need to get you there.

How: The challenge consists of two phases: the Cleanse Phase and the Max Phase.

During the Cleanse Phase, you'll use products that help rid your body of waste and enable your body to better absorb nutrients. During this cleanse you'll eat full meals consisting of real food that provides your body with the nutrition you need to function at your best.

In the Max Phase, you'll fuel your body for maximum results. You'll take three products that work together to provide sustained, clean energy, appetite control, core nutrition, and overall wellness.

When: We start our challenge June 1st! That means that in order to participate, you'll need to order your Challenge by next Tuesday (for standard shipping), May 26th. We'll be holding a Q&A call on Monday at 8pm

Why: Because there's no better time than the present to look and feel your best! "It took me two years to bite the bullet and buy my challenge, but when I did, I lost 16 lbs and 9 inches over the course of 24 Days. More importantly, I felt AMAZING -- I had unbelievable energy, my skin looked great, and I felt better about myself. Every single one of us deserves to feel our best -- the 24 Day Challenge gives you the dynamite nutrition, an easy to follow eating plan, and unrivaled support to get you there." -- Jen's ACTUAL experience! PLUS! We're doing prizes!! Everyone loves prizes!

SO! If you want to join us, you totally should! You can shoot me an e-mail (kad0129@gmail.com) and we can get the ball rolling!

Take Me Out To The Ballgame!

We made it! We're a little over a month into the season, I've come to terms with the fact that the Braves are probably going to lose 100 games this year, so there's really nowhere for them to go but up in my book! (one day we can really get into the psychology behind battered fan syndrome. because I think it's a thing. sometimes it's emotionally exhausting to be an Atlanta fan.) HOWEVER today is the THIRD THURSDAY! So do you know what that means?! It's time to stretch!

THE RULES ARE SUPER EASY:

  • write about baseball on the third Thursday of every month this season. if you're stumped, check out our prompts. if you're not stumped, we wanna read what you have too!
  • use the button! or just link back to me + Allison (WE CAN DO ALL THE SOCIAL MEDIAS TOO!)
  • link up!

  • 7th Inning Stretch Link Up
  • make new friends who like baseball!
  • have a cold beer.
okay, that last step is optional, but I mean, I'm gonna do it. SO. Here are our suggestions (I use 'our' lightly, they're 100% Allison's idea.. lalalalaaa)
  • April 16th : pick your pretend fantasy team!
    • Only pick players who are currently on a major league roster
    • Choose 8 players for your starting lineup, 5 starting pitchers, and 2-3 relievers??
    • I believe there should be a constitutional amendment against the Designated Hitter (name that movie for bonus points..) so just don't draft them. or lose points at a position. #sorryboutcha AL.
    • the rules are made up + the points don't matter
  • May 21st : favorite ballpark(s)? Why?
  • June 18th : All-Star picks and predictions
  • July 16th : best promotions and theme nights, or what promos/themes would you plan for your team?
  • August 20th : if I was commissioner...
  • September 17th : favorite baseball books + movies (I can't promise I'll like you more if you pick Casey at the Bat..... but I can't promise you I won't.....)
  • October 15th : recap your fantasy team, share favorite moments, season highlights, fun stories, update your World Series Predictions.
NOW that that is out of the way. Let's talk about my favorite ballparks. First of all. I saw plenty of games at Atlanta Fulton County before they tore it down, so I really liked that one. Obviously the Ted has been my home for quite some time, but I'm really excited to see what that new ballpark has to offer in 2017 too. I'm not so afraid of change, usually it's pretty exciting. HERE are a few not-so-obvious ballparks I also loved!

Okay. I didn't get along too well with Giants fans when I went to San Francisco, also it's colder than it ever should be, but MAN was AT&T cool. Call me old school, but I thought that the whole bleacher section was pretty neat. I like that it's not so official as your seats. You're out there in the out field taking in a ball game + you can catch home run balls if they don't go out into the bay without getting caught in your seat! ( I mean, wait what? who gets stuck in stadium seats that flip up? that's a ridiculous thing. definitely not me. I've definitely never gotten stuck.........)
view from the bleachers!
Speaking of my time out in Cali, Cali. We had the chance to see Chase Stadium, home of our parent club the Arizona DBacks with the roof open AND closed. Retractable roofs are pretty legit y'all. Even though they don't really have rain to worry about, they do have some serious heat out there. Man, dry heat is a sneaky kind of hot.
I've also been to Ranger's ballpark in Arlington, but it seems the only pictures I took there were after the game at the bar, so that's just not helpful at all! I'm hoping to get to at least two new MLB ballparks this summer. I did knock on MiLB park off the list so far, but since Jen is heading back up to Baltimore, I gotta go to a game at Camden Yards. Maybe I can even get up to Boston or something exciting like that? What's your favorite ballpark? Where should I go neeeext?

HASHTAG HUMPDAY!!

Ahhhh! I am so excited to be cohosting with Laura todaaaaaaaaayyy! Are you excited? I get to cohost TWO WEEKS IN A ROW. *insert sassy brunette emoji here* Anyways, here's the button
Hashtag Humpday

So. I'm really scared to look at any form of social media because I didn't watch the second night of the premiere of the bachelorette. I don't want to know what happened. I don't think. So don't tell me okay!? okay. #iwasbusy #thanksTiVo #isTiVoevenathing #DVRALLTHETHINGS

Yesterday, I happened to log into blogger at just the right time. My pageviews were 69,000 AND my pageviews for last month were 6,960. I lol'ed for literally ten minutes because I'm an adult. Obviously. #grownupbutnot #adulting #maturity
I am SO OVER PACKING. But. even worse I don't want to think about unpacking. HOWEVER. I have the best best best best BEST ever trick -- when you're wrapping up your glasses + cups -- use your t-shirts! You're welcome. #kaseyandtheneverendingmove #SATURDAYSATURDAYSAAAAATURDAYYYYY

Outfield Wall Rockstar Spotlight: Dream Big & Buy The Shoes!

GUYS. Do I have a surprise for you today or what? Emelia from Dream Big + Buy The Shoes is here!  She oh-so-kindly sat through my very first ever blogger-to-blogger interview + she has some great stuff to share! So let's get started!!

First of all, you're getting married!! Like, really soon! What are some of your favorite parts of planning a wedding and being engaged?

SO soon, the time is flying by and I can't wait to for our big celebration! The best parts have been making all the details come to life for our big day; we have been busy creating, designing & planning extra special parts of our reception and putting our own little twist on things. You can also find out my personal perks of being engaged in this post
You come up with the BEST gift guides (you're responsible for me owning that "fries before guys" top I get all the compliments on!) where do you get your inspiration? What are your favorites so far?

Awe thanks Kasey, that's awesome! The gift guides are a lot of fun to create and duh, FRIES always before anything. My inspiration comes from current trends with a unique spin. I love the zany, useful gifts and bold, bright pieces too.
My favorite Gift Guide so far has been "The Gift Guide You Haven't Seen Yet" for obvious reasons. You need to check it out...one word, BACON.

If it's my first time going to your blog, which post would you want me to start with?

That's a hard one, I guess something that I'm passionate about above all the other things I write is self love, so start with "I'm Not Skinny" which is probably obvious from my abundance of recipe & cocktail posts, HA!

I love your "You Are Beautiful" linkup, it's so bright + encouraging! Where does the motivation for those prompts come from? Which one has been your favorite so far? (make sure to link up for the next round on May 28th!

Thank you, Lauren and I want to create a community of self-love and empowerment for other women. Us girls are so hard on ourselves, and it's important to remember that each and every one of us is BEAUTIFUL! My motivation comes from so many different things that have happened to me on a daily basis, and situation that I have experienced in my life thus far. I want everyone to realize that at the end of the day each one of us has something unique and special to offer the world, and that within itself is beautiful.
My favorite post so far may be the one I dedicated to being strong, and my mom who passed away after a long battle with cancer. Beauty isn't defined by looks, it's so much more than that.

I am still green with envy that you got to visit Britney in Vegas AND meet a blogger friend in real life! (how cool is that? making real life friends through blogging, it's one of my favorite parts.) What were the other highlights of that Vegas trip?

I wish I could go back right now, I LOVE Vegas! Some of my favorite parts of the trip were seeing some new things in Vegas that I never have before such as the flowers at The Wynn, eating at Secret Pizza in the Cosmopolitan, visiting the Cupcake ATM and seeing the city from the top of the Stratosphere. The ULTIMATE highlight was meeting Britney's assistant, Felicia...she was the bomb.

We all know it's really the booze that brings bloggers together, I know you have some great cocktail recipes (and super trendy Moscow mule mugs!) what is your go to, end of the day drink?

My go to would be an Absolut and Sprite with a lime or Skyy Citrus and Water with a lemon. I like to keep it simple after a hard day's work! My favorite drink recipe I have shared on the blog is my Spring Sangria, which is an easy go-to on these warm spring days.

What are your go-to's for battling writer's block? Any tips for new bloggers on the block?

When I come across writer's block I have to take a break from the computer and get outside! The world around me brings me inspiration from different posts and the most random things give me ideas. If you were to see the notepad on my phone you would laugh; sometimes I crack up while I'm in the weirdest places thinking of blog post ideas. That's where this post came from, during a trip to the grocery store.
My biggest tip for new bloggers is to stay true to yourself, and don't write posts that you don't have your whole heart in. Some of my favorite posts are the ones I really started to find out what I'm good at with this whole blogging thing.

/////hopefully disquis will oblige when I turn comments off, so you can go over + say hellooooo to Emelia instead!!

Berry College Reservoir

Okay. So I spent all weekend in the land of seven hills, aka Rome Georgia. On Saturday morning we woke up early (I don't know when I lost the ability to sleep in on Saturday, but I would really like for that to come back...) and hiked up to the reservoir on Berry's campus!
It's not a bad walk at all, in fact, saying we "hiked" is probably a bit of an exaggeration.... there was an incline though. We're also not sure how far it was, my mom has the Garmin fitness tracker? That said we only went like, two miles total. I used the RunKeeper app on my phone, which said we went 2.97 miles. The world may never know.....
It was really overcast all day Saturday, which doesn't make for the best pictures, but totally made for outstanding hiking weather. It was humid, because Georgia, but it wasn't as hot as it would have been had the sun been out!
After we made it back down from our "hike" we rewarded ourselves the only logical way, beer, chicken wings, and a tour of the bars in Rome... What kind of trouble did you get into this weekend?

If We Were Having Coffee....

If we were having coffee I would probably insist on sitting outside. There's actually no probably about it. I would also have already insisted at meeting at some fun, local spot. Like, if we're having coffee this weekend, I'll insist you meet me at Swift + Finch (even if all the Berry kids judge us)

If we were having coffee I would be gushing about the book I just finished, Joy in The Morning because I didn't even realize that Betty Smith (author of my favorite book ever, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn) had written more than one book. I'd gush on + on about how I have come to expect stories to not have a happy ending because life hasn't lately. I would also demand ask for new book suggestions...

If we were having coffee I would immediately apologize for the whole "life hasn't had happy endings lately" because I don't want you to think that I'm too sad or not as fun as normal. Then I would probably apologize for apologizing, and try to justify the whole thing with "the right stuff is just around the corner, I know it." Then I would insist on you telling me all of the fantastic things in your life.

If we were having coffee I would tell you how I've started this bullet journal process because of Nina saying she read about Amber having such success with it. I might only be on day two, but I feel substantially more organized already. Plus, it lets me use the adorable journal Meagan sent me for the journal swap!

If we were having coffee I would want to talk about literally anything except wedding season. Like how I have had it up to here with Bloglovin, or how I'm now stressed out about having multiple interviews rather than never hearing anything. I would probably want to whine about moving a little more. I promise I won't do it anymore after next weekend, at least until I have to move again.

If we were having coffee I would probably make you listen to a bunch of new music too. Like this one by Dwight Yoakam. Then I would probably jump up and go "OH it's time for lunch! Let's find something with a patio + acceptable lunch sangria!"

What would you tell me if we were having coffee? Any book suggestions? Have you read Joy In The Morning? How are you doing?  Have you tried the bullet journal system?

Can We Have Class Outside?

I don't have an explanation for why this week seems so weird. I thought yesterday was Wednesday and that today is Thursday for about most of this morning until I realized we have to do payroll today. Anyways, since it is, in fact, Wednesday today, I have some confessions! (I think that might have been a few spliced commas there, sorry grammar friends.)

#Hashtaghumpday @ Life with Lolo
I have my credit cards all set up on automatic payments because I forget when they're due like on a monthly basis. #forgetfulfrancie This is set up through them, not even through my bank. So they know the payment is coming. Okay? So one of them has their system set up to where you can't pick the day it's autodrafted, it's the day the payment is due. It's a little dumb if you ask me. THEY ALSO call me about four hundred times on the day that it's due saying that I haven't made a payment. It makes me hashtag crazy pants.
source
I'm not sure I want to watch tonight's Nashville. Based on the previews, something bad is going to happen. I swear if ABC kills of Derek Shepherd + Deacon in the same month, I won't ever watch anything on ABC ever again. Maybe give up TV all together. I just can't take it, do you hear me ABC? #thatsanemptythreat #pleasedontthough
source
It is 80 degrees and sunny outside all the time now and all I want to do is lay by the pool and read books and drink margaritas. I feel like we all deserve some kind of award for being even remotely productive during the summer. Especially those of you in Florida, I don't know how you do it.
I Have A-D... something
Our apartment is somewhere between a disaster and really pathetic and empty. We've taken everything off the walls, but all of the nails are still there. It honestly looks like the Grinch swung by last weekend. It's bumming me out man. I'm ready to be in our new apartment, but this purgatory period is killin' me. #movinonup #toadeluxapartment #inabasement #notthesky
shut up shut up shut UPPPPPPPPP
People have been such JERKS on the road lately. I don't know if you're aware, but it is physically impossible for me to go any faster than the car in front of me, but you know, if you get really close to my bumper, it's totally going to change the laws of physics. #onefingersalute #roadrage #atlantadriversaretheworst

That's all folks. What do you have to confess today? It's 2015, why don't we have flying cars that drive themselves yet?

Conservancy of Southwest Florida

So it's no secret that I love the Zoo. While we didn't make it to the Naples Zoo on our trip, we did have a chance to go to the Conservancy of Southwest Florida. The Conservancy is a privately funded wildlife reserve! There were manatees and baby alligators and turtles and fish and SNAKES! This is going to be a super photo heavy post, but I definitely recommend the Conservancy if you're ever that way. You can go on a little boat cruise, our captain was the best, and see the water ways and mangroves! You know how I love boats.

HOW CUTE IS THAT LITTLE GUY!? He was swimmin' around having a snack. TOO COOL. Have you been to any nature preserves like this one?

Monday Morning Blogger Love

FIRST OF ALL. My future husband says he wants to get married, so I've got to get on a plane + jet over to London stat. Second of all. Moving is the pits. We're moving across town, but somehow four miles down the road is a thirty minute drive (hashtag only in ATL). It's a super flexible move because the people moving out are totally fine with us bringing stuff in little by little. I wish I made all the money to just pay people to move us (HEY ADVERTISING OPPORTUNITY! I'm totally willing to review your moving services in exchange for free moving services........
I realize that Friday is typically the day for all the blogger love, thanks to the ever adorable Meagan and her link up, but I figured I could do some Monday morning blogger love. SO THERE.

First of all, I'm really loving Melissa's TMNT DIY. (OMG!) I don't care that I'm 26, I want to be a hero on a half shell.

I LOVED all of the margarita posts last week. I mean, obviously I love mine (that was shameless...) I really loved Michelle's skinnnaaaay one too -- because don't we all want to have less calories?

If you're looking for some ideas on how to best spend your springtime, check out this bucket list Sarah put together

Kati talks about some really fantastic words, Jen made some delicious Asian inspired food that will make you hungry, and last, but obviously not least, Emelia has this adorable DIY wine glass

Short and sweet, like all Mondays should be! What are you loving this week?

Straight Floatin' On A Boat On the Deep Blue Sea

Okay. For someone who gets super motion sick, I really love boats y'all. When we were down in Naples (Florida, not Italy sadly...) we went out on the Sweet Liberty Boat tour with some super knowledgeable folks. We learned things like bobcats can swim and there are like twenty zillion types of palm trees. I also took an unreasonable amount of pictures. So prepaaaaare for a photo dump.
I developed a little bit of an obsession with the sea foam. Like I took that picture above probably 65 times. (also, my photography strategy is "take a million pictures, odds are one will be decent) So on this boat tour we rode around on a catamaran for about an hour, even doing only sails when we got out into the ocean! It was too cool y'all. Then we stopped at this place called Keewaydin Island. There will probably be a second Keewaydin Island post. Here are some of my favorites though!
The sky was so so crystal clear and bright blue that day that I could not get enough of it. I wanted to make sure that all of my pictures featured the sky somehow. I mean, how could you not?
This dude wasn't even a little bit afraid of me. I was probably two feet away from him when he decided he wanted to fly off. So obviously we're friends, I named him Stan.
That's our boat! We had a fearless captain + crew. No one thought my Gilligan's Island jokes were funny. IT WAS A THREE HOUR CRUISE. THAT'S WHAT GILLIGAN THOUGHT! There were no issues, I didn't have to make a coconut phone, so I was kinda bummed about that one.
Okay, so I wanted to end with this one. But then I forgot about my awesome Instagram from the boat. I can't skip this. OBVIOUSLY I had to pretend to be like Jack. KING OF THE WOOOORLD! Please disregard the fact that I could be related to a tomato. I swear I had on sunscreen. Lots of it. I ALWAYS do. Apparently we're closer to the sun down there....

This is the weirdest week ever. MAYBE because I was still at the beach on Monday. I'm not sure. Whatever it is, I am captain of the struggle bus. I actually think it's because I haven't worked out in AN ENTIRE WEEK. I mean I walked miles on the beach or whatever, but I haven't been to a barre class since LAST Wednesday. I won't get to one until FRIDAY either. What.

Last night, after staying up later than I meant to because I decided to wash my only set of sheets at 9:30 pm, I discovered Legally Blonde is on Netflix. I'm not sure if it's always been there or if I missed the memo, but obviously I had to watch that last night. I can sleep when I'm dead Netflix stops being a thing. Seriously though, how much of an inspiration is Elle Woods? Like. get it girlfriend. Even when people are super mean to her for no reason, she's a peach. #itspink #andscented

Yesterday, I was at the tag office and the man behind me in line had his phone turned up so loud that you could probably hear it on the moon. I just kept laughing because he had three distinct ringtones, the normal iPhone default one, the ALARM sound, and the one that sounds like an actual telephone. When I finally turned around to see him, he said "you leave the office for five minutes!" no "oh I'll put it on silent so that it's not crazy loud here" I don't know when it happened, but for some reason cell phone alerts drive me bonkers. Mine is always on silent. Like, 100% of the time. #pleasemakeitstop

We decided to celebrate cinco early yesterday + go for lunch rather than when all of the crazies show up. Apparently I'm an old lady. Anyways. APPARENTLY our favorite Mexican place has upgraded their cheese dip sizes, and a large is literally a soup bowl full of melty-cheesey-goodness. Also, we took an excuse to have a pitcher of margaritas at lunchtime. #margsfordays #imthewomantoblame

OH so I'm going to be blogging all about my trip BUT I FEEL LIKE IT'S REALLY IMPORTANT TO TELL YOU I almost got eaten by an alligator. We decided to go canoeing in the Everglades. You know, because YOLO. We were like SIX FEET AWAY from an alligator. THEN HE WENT UNDER WATER. AND WE DON'T KNOW WHERE HE WENT AFTER THAT. Guys. I'm semi-fearless, but I really thought that was gonna be it for me. #theendisnear  #wehadagoodrun
