YET SOMEHOW the post I originally put together for today, well that I was forty. five. minutes. into. Mysteriously got deleted after the internet went down + then the UVerse page told me to reboot my browser. I promise I did not cry a lot. Let's see how much I remember, eh? (oh hey Canada, whatcha doin'?)

Well, let's start off with one that I didn't think up last night! Thanks, Jude the Jeep, for not usually letting me down but for only letting me down in really convenient places. For overheating, but only five miles from the repair shop and my dad's house. For waiting to not start until lunch on work from home Wednesday. #butineededtogototarget #vroomvroom #ineedanewcar
Thank you Fall Out Boy, Wiz Khalifa, and our new friend Hoodie Allen for helping me relive my high school + college glory days. #thanksforthememories #thatsstuckinyourheadisntit #notsorry #jamsamakeherdance
Thank you, Dominos pizza man, for not judging us for waiting at the end of the driveway at 2 am on Saturday night. Also for bringing pizza to us at 2 am on Saturday night. You sir, are the real MVP. #pizzapizzapizza #latenightsnacksduh
last night, the first time I wrote this, I had a source for this that included a bunch more delicious pizza gifs, thanks AT&T for not making that happen either.
Thank you, Rocks Box, for making me look like I know what I'm doing when buying jewelry. You make me look like a princess even though I have no idea what I'm doing. You should use "kathleenbff118" to get your first box fo'freeeeeeee. You know you want to . You can be fancy like me! #yourewelcome #imsofancy #butnotreally #butILOOKsofancy
Soooooooooooooooooooo how's your week going? We're halfway to the weekend!!

7th Inning Stretch!!

So, in spite of being a terrible blogger as of late, Allison kept me in line + reminded me that it wAS ALREADY THE THIRD WEEK IN JULY. I can't deal you guys. I'm not prepared for life. I got the big kid job + immediately forgot how to adult in the rest of the ways. I solemly swear I'll be better at adulting soon. or not soon.

THE RULES ARE SUPER EASY:

  • write about baseball on the third Thursday of every month this season. if you're stumped, check out our prompts. if you're not stumped, we wanna read what you have too!
  • use the button! or just link back to me + Allison (WE CAN DO ALL THE SOCIAL MEDIAS TOO!)
  • link up!

  • 7th Inning Stretch Link Up
  • make new friends who like baseball!
  • have a cold beer.
okay, that last step is optional, but I mean, I'm gonna do it. SO. Here are our suggestions (I use 'our' lightly, they're 100% Allison's idea.. lalalalaaa)
  • April 16th : pick your pretend fantasy team!
    • Only pick players who are currently on a major league roster
    • Choose 8 players for your starting lineup, 5 starting pitchers, and 2-3 relievers??
    • I believe there should be a constitutional amendment against the Designated Hitter (name that movie for bonus points..) so just don't draft them. or lose points at a position. #sorryboutcha AL.
    • the rules are made up + the points don't matter
  • May 21stfavorite ballpark(s)? Why?
  • June 18th : All-Star picks and predictions
  • July 16th : best promotions and theme nights, or what promos/themes would you plan for your team?
  • August 20th : if I was commissioner...
  • September 17th : favorite baseball books + movies (I can't promise I'll like you more if you pick Casey at the Bat..... but I can't promise you I won't.....)
  • October 15th : recap your fantasy team, share favorite moments, season highlights, fun stories, update your World Series Predictions.
SO. I'm going to be even worse right now + direct you to my favorite things about MiLB games. SO link up your baseball posts all month long + don't step in the chalk so I can get back in the swing of things ahahahhaha see what I did there? see? I crack myself up and be a way better blogger in the very near future.

Hashtag Humpday Cold Day In July Edition

GUYS. TWO POSTS IN THREE DAYS. It's like I'm back! SO SINCE it is Wednesday, I'm obviously linking up for Hashtag Humpday!
#Hashtaghumpday @ Life with Lolo
so it rained a little bit at the Peachtree this year. A little bit is the understatement of the YEAR. There was a delay because of lightening and it didn't stop raining heavily until about 1 pm, you know when the streets were already clear. I sprinted the last half mile of the race, because I knew the finish line meant I could take my shoes (that weighed at least a million pounds) OFF. #dadmademewait #somethingabouttheparkbeingdirty #andthewholeyouhavetowearshoesatthebarthing.
SO I HAVE WASHED THOSE SNEAKERS TWICE. it's bad. they now smell like super gross covered up by Tide with Fabreeeeeeze. it's bad news bears. #smellyfeeeeetsmellyfeet #itsnotyourfaaaaauuuuulllllllltttt
smelly caaat smelly caaaaaaaattt
hey so remember my announcement about an announcement? WELP I got a big girl, not baseball job, all on my own! I didn't want to jinx it before I finished training, and there's still a 90 day grace period, but so far it's awesome! I do have to reassess my schedule to get back in the blogging swing, so I really appreciate everyone who stuck it out this far. #youdarealmvp #seehowIburiedthelead

I searched for at least 25 minutes trying to find a gif of  "you sir are a gentleman + a scholar!" but couldn't find one. #imaquitter
OH SO WE TRIED TO WATCH THE FIRST POST DEREK GREY'S ANATOMY EPISODE, and proceeded to ugly cry like the one before (I'm not really sorry if that's a spoiler, we're talking it's been on the DVR for months now.) #BUTWHYSHONDA #tearsofgreys #cryingmakesmyheadhurt
oh, me too lexi
So, what are you hashtagging about today? #hashtag #hashtaaaaag #hashtaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag

June - Through The Lens

HOLY CANNOLI. Can you guys believe it's already July? Like, weren't we complaining about the cold yesterday? Oh, wait. We were. I was definitely complaining about the cold on THE FOURTH OF JULY. We ran the Peachtree in the POURING RAIN and it was 65 degrees. So if I have pneumonia later, everyone knows why. So, since I've been a little MIA lately, here's what June looked like through my instagram filters!
It was lots of reading in the sunshine, beers not being donuts! a couple of Braves games, lots of sunsets that look like paintings, and a post Jurassic Park family photo!
What kind of fun did you have in June? Are you doing Helene's #31PhotosInbetween for July?! I'm having fun with it already!!
