It's Called Vicious Trollop

Okay so I didn't have anything clever to title this post and I'm watching Gilmore Girls, so there you go. I have a DVR that's about 65% full and instead I just watch reruns of Gilmore Girls on a channel where they edit out "damn" and "hell." SPEAKING OF, is it too late to do a recap of all of my feelings on the revival? It's probably coming soon. Anyways

Since I'm still working on , I thought I'd go through some of my recent DSLR shots and share those instead! I'm still working on the whole teach yourself to be a great photographer with youtube videos adventure. So here are some fun snaps I've taken lately.
CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW TINY THIS LITTLE MONSTER USED TO BE. LOOK. AT. THAT. FACE.
For my birthday I had a bonfire complete with a S'mores bar, that I was very proud of if we're being for real for real. I mulled apple cider and sausage balls and didn't burn the house down. It came close a couple of times though... Obviously we were having too much fun roasting marshmallows (ps, those telescoping things are probably meant for hot dogs, but they were so clutch for marshmallows too!) that I didn't get many pictures after that.
Now I really want s'mores. I'm toting my camera all of the places these days, so there might be more posts like this in the future.... What have you been capturing lately?

The World Needs More Wine Hashtags

FIRST THING IS FIRST. I hit 1,000 followers on the gram so Elle Talk + I are celebrating with a giveaway on said gram. Then we got to talking about how there isn't a list of boozy hashtags. Now, two of my favorite parts about hashtags are that they help you group your pictures together and they bring people of like activities together. SO here I am, with some of my favorite boozy hashtags.

I just discovered this one yesterday -- #yeswayrose HOW DID I NOT THINK OF THAT? (side note, I have that thought a lot. beer koozies, insulated stemless wine glasses with lids, the likes..)

I honestly started this as a post for boozy hashtags, but I've decided to focus on wine this time. Halfway through... Because you know what that's how blogging works. I've decided that there should be more than one so we can focus on the best kinds of booze and you guys can help me find more! Since we're focused on wine, I also love #winenot

Last but certainly not least, #lemmewineaboutit -- I'm not sure I want to share, because it's currently exclusively my wine photos. I guess y'all could all join in.

Also, I really wanted to embed the hashtag feeds, why isn't that a thing Instagram? I mean, not that my wine gifs aren't fun, but come on man. ANYWAYS. don't forget to head over to the gram + help me celebrate 1K! Do you have any boozy hashtags I should be using? I was a little disappointed to find there aren't that many yet, maybe we're just in time to start our own! Are you going to join me with #lemmewineaboutit ??

October AND November Through the Lens!

I just realized I forgot to do the easiest post I do every month - through the lens! So obviously I combined October + November for today! Here are some of my favorite 'grams from the past two months!
What have you been up to? Are we insta friends? If not let me know + I'll follow youuu!! I love the gram maaan.

September Through The Lens

I would say I'm trying to instagram every day in October, but I already missed Saturday + Monday. sooooooooooooo here's what happened according to my instagram feed in September!
I didn't even realize just how much I did in September until I put this together. There was a wedding! Then beerfest + DINNER IN A TRAIN CAR + a disappointing meal at Twin Peaks (not those pretzels though, oh man those pretzels were delish) and family pictures! September was a busy one! Also forever long. I'm really glad it's over, honestly. PLUS ALL THE FALL SHOWS ARE BACK. Even if it has been raising for the past ever. I don't know if I would recognize the sun if it came out tomorrow, honestly. Anywhooodles what did y'all get into in September?

I Have A Lot of Questions

But first, I have to say thanks for everyone's sweet words last week. Y'all are da best. NOW on to some confessions + some questions + HASHTAG HUMPDAY OBVIOUSLY. Let's do the damn thing!
#Hashtaghumpday @ Life with Lolo
So. I was watching HIMYM + when they end Barney + Robin's marriage it's because he doesn't have time to do his blog. FIRST OF ALL. what? I'll travel around + write blogs, I can handle it. SECOND OF ALL why didn't he just sell his inventions? He really did come up with some great stuff. #justsavedtheirmarriage #SERIOUSLY #stillnotoverit
source
I'm working to get back in the blogging swing of things + I am terrified to open bloglovin. I mean. It's been a long time. There are going to be a zillion unread posts. I am not prepared. #toomany #somuchtodo #needmorehours

HOW DOES THE ORDERING PIZZA FROM DOMINOS USING JUST A PIZZA EMOJI EVEN WORK. What kind of pizza? What credit card? Is it delivery or take out? Is it just one pizza? Are there sides? What about a coke? HOW #somanyquestions #nowIwantpizza #pizzaemoji
source
Great. Now I want pizza but instead I have to do the responsible adult thing and make dinner like a grown up. What's up with y'all? Have you done anything ridiculous lately? Did you use a pizza emoji to send pizza to my house?

7th Inning Stretch

Guys. We've made it to the end of the saddest link up I have been responsible for + I am sorry. I really did think it was this week. Which has been the case all the times. Why am I so bad at numbers? I'm sorry for being bad at numbers. One day. One day I'll be good at math. I promise.

THE RULES ARE SUPER EASY:

  • write about baseball on the third Thursday of every month this season. if you're stumped, check out our prompts. if you're not stumped, we wanna read what you have too!
  • use the button! or just link back to me + Allison (WE CAN DO ALL THE SOCIAL MEDIAS TOO!)
  • link up!

  • 7th Inning Stretch Link Up
  • make new friends who like baseball!
  • have a cold beer.
okay, that last step is optional, but I mean, I'm gonna do it. SO. Here are our suggestions (I use 'our' lightly, they're 100% Allison's idea.. lalalalaaa)
  • April 16th : pick your pretend fantasy team!
    • Only pick players who are currently on a major league roster
    • Choose 8 players for your starting lineup, 5 starting pitchers, and 2-3 relievers??
    • I believe there should be a constitutional amendment against the Designated Hitter (name that movie for bonus points..) so just don't draft them. or lose points at a position. #sorryboutcha AL.
    • the rules are made up + the points don't matter
  • May 21stfavorite ballpark(s)? Why?
  • June 18th : All-Star picks and predictions
  • July 16th : best promotions and theme nights, or what promos/themes would you plan for your team?
  • August 20th : if I was commissioner...
  • September 17th : favorite baseball books + movies (I can't promise I'll like you more if you pick Casey at the Bat..... but I can't promise you I won't.....)
  • October 15th : recap your fantasy team, share favorite moments, season highlights, fun stories, update your World Series Predictions.
In case you were wondering? My fantasy team did about as well as my real team. Except maybe we're in second place because I don't know who else kept up with theirs. But we all know second place is just first place loser.
if you ain't first you're last
Also you know what? I still pick the Braves in 7 to win the series. because you know, I'm the least stubborn person who ever there was! Who ya got?

August Through The Lens

August might have been a slow blog month over here, but it wasn't that slow of an instagram month! I mean, it is already halfway through the month, so I suppose it's time we catch up!
All sorts of adventures, climbing mountains, getting into a Little Trouble, post game concerts, puppy walks, saving the rivers, and tiny libraries!
What did you get into in August? Did you do #EverythingAugust? I triiiiiiied to keep up!

July Through The Lens

I refuse REFUSE to accept that it's August. I just flat refuse. WHERE did my summer go? I haven't gone down the river yet! I did paddle board up it though! If you're ever up in Rome (Georgia..) you have to check out River Dog Paddle Co. First of all, there are puppies in the store. Second of all there is beer. Third of all, they're the best people. Also the guides on the river know what's happening. I had so much fun. AND I DIDN'T FALL OFF. All of those barre classes are apparently improving my balance maan. ANYWAYS. let's see what happened in July through my insta feed + iPhone camera roll....
Celebrating Josh being home on leave // soggy Peachtree finisher photo shoot, pre-paddle boarding selfies // baseball games // sunsets // my very fist ever King of Pops // a throwback to my first Jeep!
FALL OUT BOY because I'm secretly never growing up // Varuni Napoli on Monroe HAS PROSECCO ON TAP // one of my many wine grams. #lemmewineaboutit // cotton candy skies <3 // Bear walks // I DIED. I love bar chalkboard signs maaan // PADDLE BOARDING WITHOUT FALLING IN THE WATER! // national tequila day - duh // MY LITTLE BROTHER IS 14. I felt so old.

I guess after all of that I can kind of believe it's August. BUT STILL GUYs. I cannot believe it. What did your July look like????? Are we instagram friends?!

June - Through The Lens

HOLY CANNOLI. Can you guys believe it's already July? Like, weren't we complaining about the cold yesterday? Oh, wait. We were. I was definitely complaining about the cold on THE FOURTH OF JULY. We ran the Peachtree in the POURING RAIN and it was 65 degrees. So if I have pneumonia later, everyone knows why. So, since I've been a little MIA lately, here's what June looked like through my instagram filters!
It was lots of reading in the sunshine, beers not being donuts! a couple of Braves games, lots of sunsets that look like paintings, and a post Jurassic Park family photo!
What kind of fun did you have in June? Are you doing Helene's #31PhotosInbetween for July?! I'm having fun with it already!!

I Need Your Help!

GUYS. So I've mentioned that I want to do something fun with the giant white wall in my bedroom. I want to make a collage/media wall with my Europe pictures! Some shadow boxes, etc. I want to get a giant watercolor map of the world, then I need to pick three pictures to be the really big ones. I CANNOT decide. I think it's more of a I need to travel more situation, obviously. But for now, I need to get started! So, I've decided for sure this one:
So I need one from Amsterdam and one from London! I'm a little attached to the Tower Bridge one, but also love all of the ones I put here. Since I took fewer pictures in London + Amsterdam because we were too busy having the most fun, I am really attached to all of the ones I did take. SO. I need your help! Should I make like, a collage? Should I do a bunch of like 4 x 6 pictures? I am having a really hard time making this decision.
Okay, but I'm a little sad looking through these trying to decide what to print + frame. Also, does anyone have any suggestions as to how I should print them? Like should I do it on the internets or should I do like in person at target or..... ? The struggle is real guys. What do you think? What are your favorite ways to display your travel pictures? In related news, I've decided my next goal is Greece next summer. So, stay tuned for that one....

May Through The Lens

In a world of perfectly staged instagram photos with pristine white backgrounds + thousands of dollars worth of desk accessories, one girl fights to keep the fun in the world, choosing almost exclusively the most ridiculous photos from the set. This is her story....

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!!

Straight Floatin' On A Boat On the Deep Blue Sea

Okay. For someone who gets super motion sick, I really love boats y'all. When we were down in Naples (Florida, not Italy sadly...) we went out on the Sweet Liberty Boat tour with some super knowledgeable folks. We learned things like bobcats can swim and there are like twenty zillion types of palm trees. I also took an unreasonable amount of pictures. So prepaaaaare for a photo dump.
I developed a little bit of an obsession with the sea foam. Like I took that picture above probably 65 times. (also, my photography strategy is "take a million pictures, odds are one will be decent) So on this boat tour we rode around on a catamaran for about an hour, even doing only sails when we got out into the ocean! It was too cool y'all. Then we stopped at this place called Keewaydin Island. There will probably be a second Keewaydin Island post. Here are some of my favorites though!
The sky was so so crystal clear and bright blue that day that I could not get enough of it. I wanted to make sure that all of my pictures featured the sky somehow. I mean, how could you not?
This dude wasn't even a little bit afraid of me. I was probably two feet away from him when he decided he wanted to fly off. So obviously we're friends, I named him Stan.
That's our boat! We had a fearless captain + crew. No one thought my Gilligan's Island jokes were funny. IT WAS A THREE HOUR CRUISE. THAT'S WHAT GILLIGAN THOUGHT! There were no issues, I didn't have to make a coconut phone, so I was kinda bummed about that one.
Okay, so I wanted to end with this one. But then I forgot about my awesome Instagram from the boat. I can't skip this. OBVIOUSLY I had to pretend to be like Jack. KING OF THE WOOOORLD! Please disregard the fact that I could be related to a tomato. I swear I had on sunscreen. Lots of it. I ALWAYS do. Apparently we're closer to the sun down there....

March: Through The Lens

Hey HEY hey guys. If April showers bring May flowers, then what do Mayflowers bring????

PILGRIMS! oh man. you're welcome for that one. I'm hiiiiilarious. Yesterday I was really proud of "what's the difference between a fish + a piano?"
ba dum tisssss
ANYWAYS. bad jokes aside, March was fun. I'm doing a happy dance for April + keeping this short because who has two thumbs + gets to go to the zoo today?! THIS GIRL!
  1. WE SAW DAMIEN RICE LAST NIGHT. high school Kasey is still flipping out about it.
  2. I FINISHED 30 Days at The Barre
  3. Instagrams of flowers for daaaaaaayyys
  4. Obviously a date with my main man, Jose. (actually, don't tell him. they use a different tequila in mambo taxis.....)
  5. taking Kasey At The Bat literally playing on a super fun coed softball team (even if we're not so good at winning)
  6. Adulting really well by jumping in puddles.
  7. it's officially wedding season guys.
All That's Glittered
OBVIously the great phone debacle of 2015 caused me to be a little short on pictures this month. Don't worry, I instagrammed three times yesterday to make up for it. PLUS I'm doing Helene's Insta challenge now! Are you?

OH. you can tune a piano but you can't tuna fish!!! you're welcome again.

February: Through The Lens

HOLY COW. It's March. I hope this means more spring weather and less snow. Let's count that last week of February as March "coming in like a lion" okay? Okay. Awesome. Let's see what happened in February according to my camera!
1. obsessing over having fresh flowers in the apartment at all times + admiring the lovely roses from my sweet friend Jen.
2. obviously I only workout so that I can eat all the Varsity.
3, 4, 7, AND 9. Apparently I've turned into that person who instagrams from the gym all the time. Livin' that sweaty life y'all.
5. ladies night out including wine + fabr'ik shopping adventures with Jennifer!!
6. Valentines day the right way. obviously.
8. Oyster Fest at Park Tavern!

There are so many things on my March calendar that I might have to do two collages for next month's linkup! What did you do in February?
All That's Glittered

[Mostly] Wordless Write Or Die Wednesday..

This week's prompt is a picture of a love lock. So I'm abusing it as an excuse to post more Paris pictures because why did I take so many? Also love is kinda bumming me out right now. OKAY GO.
this is actually probably really creepy, that stranger there just seemed so deep in thought. I assume about his love lock being taken off by the French government + whether or not that meant their love story was over.

I hope all of these people really do live happily ever after. Even if their love is too heavy for the bridges. Since I didn't really write anything, does this mean I'm going to die?
Write or Die Wednesdays

My Birthday Month Through The Lens

Okay. Groundhog day is super weird y'all. BUT my biggest issue is that Punxsutawney Phil says more winter, but General Beauregard Lee says spring. So how does that work? Like half + half? Anyways. Now that my birthday month is over, I'm ready for it to be summer because I got my new swimsuits on Saturday. You know, I have an actual dresser drawer for swimsuits. Not just like, the tiny underwear/sock drawer. An entire drawer. I might have a problem. OKAY. Let's take a look back at all of the pictures I took in January!
I still can't believe that for the first week of 2015 I was in EUROPE still. Can I go back already? I haven't even shared my London pictures yet -- so those bottom three are official sneak peeks of London.. You can see all of my Paris pictures here + here
I also turned old + learned some things. I really should have added that 26 isn't going to be the year I grow out of sticking my tongue out in pictures either...... In case you were wondering, there's not going to be a recap of my birthday celebrations because I acted like a total brat + terrorized the locals. Totally growing up, right? ANYWAYS. That's what happened according to my camera in January. What did you do this month?
All That's Glittered

2014 Through The Lens

GUYS. I'm just not ready to delve into editing all of my Europe pictures. Honestly. I'm suffering from some post-vacation depression. I wanted to stay in London -- like forever... So let's see what the highlights of 2014 were, according to my instagram feed!
2014 through the lens
row one :: kicking assphault in the Peachtree Road Race ;; Oktoberfest in Helen ;; LEAVING AMERICA FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER
row two :: acting like freshmen again for recruitment ;; LAURA GOT ENGAGED ;; all of the football games
row three :: Lebeaufest 14 ;; FIREWORKS IN AMSTERDAM ;; ATL Blogger Holiday Meetup !!

All That's Glittered
Obviously, these were my favorites. I can't believe that it's already halfway through January. GUYS. IT'S ALMOST MY BIRTHDAY. I better get to work on the "26 things I learned by 26" **spoiler alert** [oh, spoiler alert is supposed to come before the spoiler, isn't it? oops] Anyways, I know it's a week or two late in blogland, but I'm really excited to see what 2015 has in store for me. What were your favorite instagrams of 2014?
