Fall Bucketlist Status Update!

It's been three weeks since I set my Fall Bucket List, so surely it's time to check-in right? Right. Let's see how I've done so far!
Our Nashville Life
corn maze // not yet, fingers crossed on this weekend though!
bonfire + s'mores // I mean, is it even possible to have a bonfire without s'mores? [turns out, yes, because if it's too stinkin' hot to be near the bonfire, you won't want s'mores. fact.]
hike kennesaw mountain // planned! keep an eye out on Instagram for pictures!
pumpkin beer // this will probably be accomplished more than once, let's be real..
spiked apple cider // because apple cider needs a little Captain in it. I also found this recipe for caramel apple cider SANGRIA. sign. me. up.
oktoberfest in helen, ga // check out the recap here!
pumpkin patch // I need pumpkins for pumpkin crafts!!
hay rides // honestly this, the pumpkin patch, and corn maze will probably be one trip!
georgia/georgia tech game // planning this now!
camping // this is still a hard sell, I wonder if I could camp on my own + eliminate the search for a place to stay for GA/FL?
apple picking // the Ellijay Apple Festival is this weekend, anyone want to go?!

I'm thinking maybe I should add on a few more things to this list, what do you think it's missing?

Lebeaufest 14 + Weekly Wishes

I've been battling a stupid cold this week, so I didn't do too many exciting things this weekend, but I did manage to knock half a thing off of my fall bucket list! It was too damn hot Saturday night, but we still had a bonfire -- I even bought s'more stuff, but we didn't quite get around to making them. The bonfire was at Jennifer from Tin Can Cozy's annual Lebeaufest! So I'm going to share some of my pictures + then a quick recap on weekly wishes!

Lebeaufest did not disappoint, never does. Plus we had the musical stylings of Steve Nebraska, who has an album coming out soon! Now let's see how I did on my weekly wishes..

last week's wishes:
have a no spend week // I'm counting this as a success, because the only thing I did spend money on was groceries + cold medicine. ps, I discovered that Alkaseltser's daytime cold medicine has some caffeine in it, so I wouldn't recommend it if you're trying to nap..

knock off two things from my fall bucket list // oops. failed at that one. did cross bonfire off the list, and I bought s'mores stuff! we had planned to go to the corn maze sunday, but it rained all morning so we didn't, and obviously in the afternoon the sun came out and it was beautiful.

finish decorating my bathroom // I did really poorly this week. I can't even blame it on being sick because I didn't admit I was sick until Thursday. wah wah.

this weeks wishes:
figure out georgia/florida // I have a ride to Jacksonville but I haven't made any plans other than that, I feel like this week is the "figure it out, or stay in Atlanta" week. So we'll see where I can get on that. maybe I should work on getting tickets for Auburn + Tech too...

corn. maze. // make it happen, captain! so many fun pictures to be made!

ask someone to take my picture // I want to put my stuff on the Atlanta Bloggers website [ ps how awesome did Becca + Melissa do on that website?! ] but I don't have a nice picture of myself and everyone else looks so pretty! So I need something that resembles a headshot and at the very least doesn't feature me being at the bar, which is where most of my cute pictures come from.

Prost Y'all! Oktoberfest in Helen, GA

Oktoberfest is a sixteen day festival in Munich, Alex at Speaking Denglish has everything you need to know before you go, reading it will give you major wanderlust. I have the real Oktoberfest on my travel bucket list, I'm thinking of even adding it to my 101 before 1001 [that list is really hard to make...] That's a little bit more of a trip than I could swing on a weekend, so instead I knocked it off of my fall bucket list and we hopped on the Atlanta Bar Tours Oktoberfest Bus Trip!

I'm new to the whole party bus trip, aside from the date night busses we took in college. Those weren't really party busses, since you couldn't take any booze on those busses. The first announcement on this bus was "there are four coolers of beer and wine on the bus, water and soda goes under the bus, so if you want water you might be on the wrong trip!" Easily the best thing to hear at 9:45 am.

Helen is the most adorable little town, known for their main street modeled after small Bavarian towns. If you haven't been to Helen, and you're anywhere close, you're definitely missing out. Even when it's not Oktoberfest, there are oodles of fun things to do. You can even shoot the Hooch up there! [no, the City of Helen didn't ask me to write this, I've just been going up there since I was a little girl..
oktoberfest helen georgia

Our first stop included a surprise marriage proposal, gigantic plastic beer steins [obviously, I lost mine at some point in the day], and the most delicious soft pretzel I have ever had in my entire life. There was live music and German treats at every stop. We made the rounds to all of the local spots and even convinced a bouncer that we would pay the cover on the way out. Then we hopped back on the bus and headed back home. That's a big selling point for me, sleeping in my own bed at the end of the night.

I absolutely recommend Helen's Oktoberfest, if you want to go this year, you still can! The 44th Annual Oktoberfest in Helen Georgia runs through the first weekend in November this year. They do it every year, and Atlanta Bar Tours puts together the bus tour, but I recommend buying your tickets early, since the trip sells out every year!

Weekly Wishes :: Eleven + A Giveaway!!

These wishes go to eleven! I'm linking up with TNC, because I like to get shit done.. Let's start with how I did last week and then move on to this week!
last week's wishes ::
work on my editorial calendar // check it y'all. I even planned a post to talk about my editorial calendar, so how 'bout them apples?

organize my closet // okay well just no. I'm the worst.

knock three things off my fall bucket list // hey -- two is close to three right? I'll post about the adventure that is Oktoberfest in Helen later this week too. Pumpkin beers were probably cheating though. I mean I'd drink pumpkin beer if it wasn't on my bucket list too..

this week's wishes ::
have a no spend week // aside from the obvious expenses [gas + probably groceries]. I need to be saving for Europe anyways..

knock off at least two things from my fall bucket list // you know, kick butt, take names, do better than I did on my summer one. it's so bad I'm not even going to link back to it..

finish decorating my bathroom // I'm almost done and it will also make a great blog post. I'm apparently at a point in my life where I think through by saying "oh I should take pictures of this so I can blog about it

So that's what I have on the schedule for this week. Hopefully it will keep me from stressing about the UGA vs. Mizzou game this weekend, that's for like all the marbles right now. What are you working on this week?

OH but before you go how about entering to win fun stuff from Sephora! Happy Monday!!

It's Fall, Y'all!

PSA:  IT FEELS LIKE FALL IN ATLANTA TODAY. So obviously, I would be a terrible blogger if I didn't talk about fall, sweaters, leggings, boots, and pumpkin spice lattes right? Right. So I'm making a fall goal list. I didn't do so hot on my summer bucket list, so here's hoping I'll do better on Fall!  I'm linking up for Listed Tuesdays + for my Fall Bucket List!
Our Nashville Life
corn maze // there are more options than you would expect for this in Georgia. like this one, this one, or this one!
bonfire + s'mores // I mean, is it even possible to have a bonfire without s'mores?
hike kennesaw mountain // the view from the top is already incredible, but when the leaves all change colors, I can't even explain.
pumpkin beer // DUH. Pumpkin beer is my favorite of all the seasonal beers. I'm so excited.
spiked apple cider // because apple cider needs a little Captain in it.
oktoberfest in helen, ga // okay this is cheating because we have it planned for next weekend, but beer and pretzels in Helen, count me in.
pumpkin patch // if you looked at the corn mazes, they're usually attached to pumpkin patches, hello, two birds, one stone.
hay rides // see above. also I love a good hay ride, is that just me? I'm never gonna grow up.
georgia/georgia tech game // this is thanksgiving weekend, in Athens, and there are few places prettier than Athens in the fall.
camping // this is going to be a hard sell, my friends like to sleep indoors. anyone want to go?
apple picking // there are four billboards on my way to work advertising apple picking. it looks like so much fun!

Things that felt like cheating to put on the bucket list: caramel apple treats, watching Hocus Pocus, pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin shaped Reece's cups, and dressing up for Halloween. What's on your fall bucket list?
