I always feel so unprepared when I haven't written my confessions ahead of time and have to do them the day of. I feel like everyone gets up at like 2 am to make sure they're on the linkup first! So far behind because 2 am is definitely a sleepy time.
Saturday I knew it was too damn hot to wear my cowboy boots to tailgate but I
refused to accept it and stubbornly wore them and at more than one point in the day took them off and ran around barefoot.
I have been seeing a lot of these stupid "x amount of things that don't matter after you turn 25" and according to
this COSMO article, I'm not acting like I'm 25 because people still ask me what my college GPA was in job interviews, and I still think what music someone listens to tells a lot about their personality. Also, almost every point she makes is contradicted by her explanations... At first I felt ridiculous for being so irritated over a Cosmo article, then I realized I was most irritated because someone got
PAID to write this stupid thing.
Most of my friends from college are growing up, becoming real people, going on tropical vacations with their significant others, getting married, buying houses, and I'm just hanging out keeping up with the current college kids instead. I don't have any FOMO or guilt. You do your home improvement projects, I'll enjoy my bottomless mimosas.
I couldn't possibly care any less that the Pumpkin Spice Latte doesn't have any
actual pumpkin in it. I'm not really sure what made this lady think anyone really believed that it wasn't an artificial flavor. Also, I think
organic is a crock unless you see
exactly where that's coming from. I'll stick to my "non-organic coffee that may contain pesticides" thanks.
I didn't mean for this to be almost exclusively Gilmore Girls gifs, it just
happened okay? Not sorry. I am a little sorry these aren't as great as you would expect them to be after a weekend in Athens, oddly enough nothing out of the ordinary happened! Hop on over to
Kathy's place because there are plenty more people confessing today, and their's are probably better than mine! What do you have to confess today?
i'm all for organic shizz but it was only about a month ago i heard about organic coffee and that everyone and their mother needs to get on that shizz. no thanks, i'll stick with my regular tim hortons coffee that's been around since the 1950s and it seems everyone is ok.
ReplyDeletethanks for linking up!

Vodka and Soda
thanks for hosting!! I just think at the big grocery stores it's a trap, I'll stick to the farmer's market fruits + veggies, pesticides or not!
ReplyDeleteOh geez, I'm with you on the irritation at articles like that Cosmo one. I admit I totally get sucked into sites like Buzzfeed, but then find myself disagreeing with their random "x things you need to do if you y" or "what your name says about you" or whatever, and then yeah... the worst part is realizing that someone's getting paid for that and the college journalism student inside me starts to cry. Ah well... I guess it's my fault for falling for the click-bait anyway! :)
ReplyDeletewell sometimes they're good or you can relate or funny! I'm always hoping they're going to be funny, then I read that crap + she's being serious + it's just like, seeeeeriously?
ReplyDeleteI prefer to do my home improvement projects while downing mimosas.
ReplyDeleteI looooove Gilmore Girls! And yeah, I don't believe any of that "organic" or "green" crap. I eat and drink what I want dammit! Stop pressuring me! Hahahaha.
ReplyDeleteI knew I liked you for a reason!
ReplyDeleteEXACTLY! no one gets out alive, so we might as well enjoy what time we're given!
ReplyDeleteI actually forgot how much I miss Gilmore Girls until I saw the gifs lol
ReplyDeleteI want it to be on Netflix SO BAD.
ReplyDeleteI had to stop reading Cosmo. I was irritated at how little relevance everything in the magazine had towards my life. I started buying it at 16 for the advertisements to decorate my binders for school and didn't stop till after I graduated college.
ReplyDeleteI used to buy it in HS too! That + I LOVED seventeen magazine. I still cut out magazine pictures + make collages...
